Utopistic Nostalgias- This is about the nostalgia people felt at around the 2000s where the future of tech was promising, hopeful. But today we are despairing and leaning on nihilistic and egocentrical tendecies as a result of the way the media is affecting our brains today (24-ish for you web historians). I think because of the overproduction of a lot of stuff like food, items, clothes and to abstract things like knowledge we get in school we get so priveledged we dont even see our own feet. Knowledge from school, for example- youve probably seen tons of kids saying on tv how much they wish for education and school, and i sure imagine kid you whincing. Bceause "ya kiddin me? School? i wish i didnt have school like these poor kids!". We have grown used to being given things on a silver platter sadly so much so we are getting less capable of feeling or thinking anything deeply.
I think then we are weak pussies compared to the generations before us, because we are not really touching deeper thoughts or feelings and that is because you feel like you are going to die whenever someone leaves you. hmm.. Were getting more sensitive but not more tolerable. Wow did you read this ? I actually thought of something and wirting helped the process
Stalin and the art of boredom Propaganda influences bored people. Hitler and stalin used methods to bore the masses and slowly influenced them trough that. In the article it even said kids bored at their school desks drew stalin. I imagine how much of this resonates with the modern medias: Youre meant to get bored because that is when you are most easily suspectible (idk the word sorry) to "thoughts that seem yours, but are really cooperations nailing their claws in your mind". This will add up to my thoughts about how to being more mindful around media and undertanding its functions and possibilities.

Capitalist realism/cancellation of the future

Im soon done reading capitalist realism by Mark Fisher. baiscally filled with his teories (i think perhaps a bit outdated given it was written in 09 britain). i liek his concept of depressive hedonia which is people giving up hope/others, thinking " well it dosent matter anyways " and consuming a kot of shit and not helping/participating communities. Cancellation of the future is the thougt we arent looking positivkey forward to the future-cant because we are all whomped up with media and keeping up with the void of culture.
its tough to go into the depths of the world and really learn when shallowness is enough.

Reading difficult works. Difficult words and difficult structure and story.
I think when you read you are in he lovley situation of having someone doing the thinking for you and good works pushes you to try to think more too.
