: Id like to exsplore the deeper meanings and structures/sociological results of music. I am statring to think, based of the past years of music listening, my sense has gotten so vauge and unpolished that music for me has gotten stale and hurtful. This is a reason why I have started to read Adornos Sociology of music because of his criticism and undertsanding of the Culture industry and his seemingly corect prediction of its development. I dont think i have the ability to grasp music in a way it derserves. I cannot fathom how inportant and wonderful music was for people in the past. Imagine the effort put on the disk, the vinyl or the cd. The effort to deliberetly go to a record store, choose what you wanted to try out, use the money you had saved up. The more the effort and focus the more the depth and enjoyment one gets.
